September 29th, 1947 - July 8th, 2020
Patricia Ann Burgess, age 72 of Hamilton, passed away at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 8, 2020. Patty was born in Charleston, West Virginia on September 29, 1947 to Ray and Gladys Ball. On December 10, 1966, she married the love of her life, Dallas Burgess. Patty was a woman of strong faith and held tightly to it until the very end. She was a kind and generous woman donating to many charities and helping her family as often as she could. She was a loving and devoted wife of 53 years and raised two girls who knew she loved them deeply. Her five grandchildren were her heart and she made sure each one knew just how much she loved them before she left this earth. Her family will miss her deeply but will forever be inspired by her strength and steadfast faith. Especially throughout the past few months. Patty never knew a stranger and made friends with everyone she met. She will leave a hole in the heart of many but they can rest assured knowing she is resting peacefully with her Lord and Savior in her forever home.
Patty is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dallas Burgess; her daughters, Kelly (Mike) Gregston and Krista (Rob) Johnson; her grandchildren, Maria, Morgan, Sarah, Erika and Adam; her siblings, Vada Booher, Wilda Harris and Bobby (Valerie) Ball; and many nieces and nephews. Patty was preceded in death by her parents; and her silbings, Gene Ball, Woody Ball, David Ball and Debbie Toler.
Private services to be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be sent in Patty’s name to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, https://www.hospiceofdayton.org/donations/ or American Lung Association, https://www.lung.org/get-involved/ways-to-give.
