Norman A. Mize

Norman A. Mize, age 89 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. Norman was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 1, 1931 to Roscoe Mize and Lola (Creech) Mize.  Norman was a United States Navy Veteran serving from 1951-1955.  On February 24, 1962 in Hamilton, he married Yvonne Hopkins Mize.  He was a retired welder from Ford Motor Company after 30 years.  He was a golden glove boxer champion in the Navy; he played football in high school, and loved watching and coaching football his entire life.  Norman enjoyed the outdoors, especially going fishing. 

Norman is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne Mize; his daughters, Susie (Jeff) Byrd and  Nicci Meece; five grandchildren, Seth Mize, Jonathan (Jessica) Casper, Skye (Brad Harris) Meece, Hunter Meece, Faith Meece; two great grandchildren, Amelia and Nathan Casper; his sister, Wilda (Mark) Scheffel. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Lola Mize; two brothers Milton and Gerald Mize.

 Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

TO: Nicci, Skye, Hunter and Faith We are deeply saddened by your loss. The more we love someone, the more pain we feel at their passing.
