July 13th, 1947 - January 13th, 2020
Alfred Lee Boggess Sr., age 72 of Cincinnati, passed away at UC Medical Center on Monday, January 13, 2020. Alfred was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 13, 1947 to Marlen and Carmelita Boggess. On December 21, 1965 he married the love of his life Mary Boggess. He served in US Navy. Alfred was an electrician by trade and a businessman. He was the pastor of Mt. Carmel Church of the Nazarene for the last 19 years. To make a long story short, Alfred loved life to the fullest and will be remembered for his laughter.
Alfred is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Boggess; his children, Christina (Robert) Fox, Alfred Boggess Jr., Natalie (John) Headdy and Doug (Sandee) Boggess; his grandchildren, Katelyn and Logan Fox, Kayla and Kara Lee Boggess (and their mother, Ellen Boggess), Chris, Alex and Robert Boggess and Zachary Headdy; his five siblings Larry, Mike, John, Carmel and Martin; and many loving family members and friends. Alfred was preceded in death by his parents and his five siblings, Marlen Jr., Ronald, Norman, Alice and Richard.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Walden Ponds Community Church of the Nazarene, 6590 Walden Ponds Circle, Hamilton, Ohio, 45011. Funeral service will be held at the church on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Hicks officiating and Pastor Gene Jackson eulogizing. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity for Vietnam Veterans, especially those suffering from PTSD.
|I knew Al as Senior, I worked with the family owned business. Senior brought me into his office and offered everything they had to help me start my business, that was 2005 and still in business thanks to Senior and his family. |Pastor al was my all time favorite person in church. Last time I seen you was sherry funeral. I wish I could of of been there to see you more. I prayed for you. You was always there for me and Austin when he was 3 days old and went to children's hospital you came down prayed wish us. I will tell Austin aka hairy about you and more. |I'm so sorry for the loss of Pastor Al although I only met him a half a dozen times I enjoyed his company and his preaching he was definitely a Godly Man my condolence goes out to his wife and family and the church congregation you all find peace with every ending there's a new beginning keep safe and hope that you find a pastor that was good as Pastor Al|
