Ada "Cookie" King, age 67 of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. Cookie was born in Hamilton, Ohio on November 2, 1952 to Chesley "Checker" and Opal Riley. On December 28, 1981, in Hamilton she married Johnny King, who preceded her in death in 2012. Cookie retired from Meijer after many years of service. She loved her dog, Bubbles and watching the Cincinnati Reds. Cookie enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
Cookie is survived by her daughter, DeeDee (Mike) Ollis; her son, Malachi Hopkins; her grandchildren, Brianna Stacy, Sidney Ollis, Kaylee Hopkins, Lindsey Ollis, Jalynn Hopkins, Cooper Ollis, Alyssa Honnerlaw and Malachi Chesley Hopkins; her great-grandson, Kaesen Hopkins; her siblings, William (Jan) Bryan, Freda (the late Paul) Payne, Paul "Butch" (Regina) Riley and Timothy (Margaret) Riley; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Cookie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny King; and her brothers, Chesley "Chuck" Riley, Jimmy (Jerry) Riley and Jerry (Gail) Riley.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Rick Lawwill officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
