Charles V. "Charlie" Wilson, age 74 of Fairfield, passed away at Mercy Hospital--Fairfield on Friday, August 30, 2019. Charlie was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 4, 1944 to Charles L. "Shorty" and Lula Mae (Martin) Wilson. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1962. On January 29, 1982, he married Charlotte Napier.
Charlie is survived by his wife of almost 38 years, Charlotte Wilson;his brother, Mike (Sandy) Wilson; his children, Susan (Donny) Bush, Kristi Pattridge, Rani (Wayne) Hovatter, and Tanya (Doug) Lape (and family); his grandchildren, Joshua Reiman, Amanda (Jarrod) Vallines, Joey Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson, Daniela (Travis) Heston, Elaina Pattridge; his great grandchildren, Lilly, Bentley, Paisley, Elliot, Jacob, Bailey, Hinley, Emily, Lauren, Austin. Charlie was preceded in death his parents.
Charlie was a proud Vietnam Veteran and member of the National Muzzle Loader Association. He enjoyed Solstice runs, Spelunking, motorcycles, antiques, camping, and was a steam train enthusiast. Charlie was also a tap dancer and appeared on Ted Mac Original Amateur Hour many times. Charlie was a loving husband, dad, papaw, and great papaw.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jack Young officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
