Martha D. Koger, age 90 of Fairfield, passed away at Triple Creek Retirement Community on Friday, April 19, 2019. She was born in Union City, Indiana on November 30, 1928 the daughter of Bevon and Mary (Gunther) Harmeson. Martha was employed by Champion Paper for more than twenty years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of Lindenwald Baptist Church. On September 9, 1950 in Union City, Indiana she married William Koger and he preceded her in death in 2006.
Martha enjoyed spending time with her family, hosting holiday celebrations, and watching her grandchildren participate in activities. She kept busy working in their yard, around their house, and helping out her neighbors. Martha enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to Amish country.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Tom) Brown of Liberty Township and Janet (Jim) Kernohan of Fairfield; six grandchildren, Greg (Lindsey) Brown, David (Alicia) Brown, Jason (Christina) Brown, Kevin (Erin) Kernohan, Kelly (Ryan) Johnson, and Kristy Kernohan; thirteen great grandchildren, Allison, Luke, Audrey, Emily, Shelby, Lincoln, and Dominic Brown, Will, Abby, and Ben Kernohan, Emma and Alex Johnson, and Anna Glaser; two brothers, Richard (Helen) Harmeson and Robert (Frances) Harmeson, both of Union City, Indiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Tyler Green of Lindenwald Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
