Charles H. Ward, age 86 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Saturday, November 3, 2018. Charles was born in New Lisbon, Indiana on January 27, 1932 to Conwell Ward and Florence (Lamberson) Ward. He was a United States Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict from 1952-1960. On June 19, 1965 in Spiceland, IN he married Belva Smith and she preceded him in death in 2011. Charles worked at the Ford Motor Company for 31 years retiring in 1998.  He was also a member of Greenhills United Baptist Church.

Charles is survived by one son Bill (Linda) Ward; three grandchildren, Darcy Ward, Amanda "Stacie" Ward, and William Ward Jr.; five great grandchildren, Brooklynn, Logan, Gracie, Serena, and Alicia; adopted great grandchildren, Cali and Zachary; three brothers, Conwell (Faye) Ward Jr., Dick Ward, and Fred Ward. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Raymond Ward and Harold James Ward; and one sister Edna Simmons.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 1:00PM  with Rev. Tim Mullins of Greenhills United Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Monday, from 11:00AM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.

I’m so sorry to here about Charles passing away. I used to work at Birchwood in the activities department and I would always sit in the common area and visit him. He was a great person to talk to. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
