Leroy Baker, age 87 of Hamilton, passed away at his home on Sunday, November 19, 2017. Leroy was born in Bonnyman, Kentucky on November 20, 1929 to Farmer Baker and Bodie (Campbell) Baker.  He was a United States Army Veteran, serving from 1951-1952 during the Korean War.  He was married to Nettie Jane Blankenship on May 11, 1951.  Leroy was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather until his passing.  Leroy was a master craftsman building his own home as well as homes for his son and daughter. Leroy has served the Lord for over 50 years, and was a member of the Hamilton Church of God, where he was an example to many, and a friend to all. 

Leroy is survived by his wife Nettie Jane Baker; his two children, Jeffery (Terri) Baker and Laura (Tom) York; four grandchildren, Michael Baker, Lauren (Justin) Platt, Daniel (Ashley) York, and Cole Baker; two great grandchildren, Jackson and Lilly Platt; siblings,  Don (Joyce) Baker, Farmer Baker, Faye Croucher, Glen (Susan) Baker, Saul (Sue) Baker; and many other friends and family. He also leaves behind his brother in law, Charlie Blankenship, who is like a brother and his wife Gwen and their two sons, Greg and Gary, who are like his own. Leroy was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings Emery Baker, James Baker, Lois Schell, and Paul Baker.

Funeral service will be held at Hamilton Church of God, 1760 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Alan Weaver of Hamilton Church of God officiating.  Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hamilton Church of God.  Memorial contributions can be made to Vitas Hospice.
