Cornell Babb, age 87, passed away on October 4, 2017 at Wellington Manor Nursing Home.  He was born in Wisemantown, Kentucky on July 3, 1930 to Price and Grace (Wolfinbarger) Babb.  After moving to Ohio around age 20, he worked at come of Hamilton's notable manufacturing industries - Ford, Bendix Aviation and Hamilton Die Cast.  Later he was employed by Fox Paper Company in Evendale as a lift truck operator.

He was married to Violet (Barrett) Jones from 1951-1974 and together they had one daughter, Susan (Babb) Cox.  In February, 1977 he married Dorothy Herrlein who preceded him in death in 1990.

Cornell was a quiet man who enjoyed family and friendly conversation. He loved to drive his car on short jaunts and liked to listen to old country music.

He is survived by his devoted daughter, Susan (Babb) Cox of Fairfield Township and a beloved granddaughter, Thea (Thomas) Walsh of Grove City, Ohio.

Cornell was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers - Roscoe Babb and Delbert Ray Babb and four sisters - Wanda (Walter) Roberts, Grace (James) Lee, Goldie Babb and Marvella Babb.

The family wishes to thank Diane and Jennifer (Red) of Hospice of Cincinnati for all their wonderful care during his final days.

Many thanks also to the nurses and aides that assisted him daily at Wellington Manor Nursing Home.

Visitation will be from 11AM – 12PM, Monday, October 9, 2017 at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home 330 Pershing Ave. Hamilton, OH 45011. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at 12PM with burial at Butler County Memorial Park.
