Charles Robert "Bob" Halcomb, age 93 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Saturday, May 13, 2017. Bob was born and raised in Hell for Certain in Leslie Co, KY on December 13, 1923 to John and Ellen (Begley) Halcomb. He moved to Hamilton in 1946. In 1949, Bob married the love of his life, Lorraine Kellum, who preceded him in death. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy Air Corps, as an Aviation Ordanceman, patrolling Cuba and North Africa. Bob worked and retired from Herring Hall Marvin Safe Co. – Diebold Safe Co. He served as VP of the Union for many years.  Bob was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Moose Lodge #36, and Eagles 407. He was a member of the Moose Traveling Saturday Dart Club. He thoroughly enjoyed the companionship of all of his fellow darters. Bob grew up enjoying fishing and hunting with his family and friends. He passed along his special fishing skills to his son, Brian. They were fishing buddies for many years. 

Bob is survived by his son and daughter in law, Brian & Marianne (nee Calabria) Halcomb, of Hamilton; his granddaughter, Amanda (Jeff) Fuller, of Utah; his two great grandsons, Blake and Reece; and he leaves a large extended family that loved him and will miss him dearly. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine; his son, Kevin Halcomb; his parents; his two brothers, David and Ralph Halcomb; and special in laws, Lloyd & Mildred Bowling. 

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 7:00 PM.  Burial will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society and Wounded Warrior Project. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Hamilton, for all their love and care.
