January 10th, 1939 - November 27th, 2012
William R. Spradling, age 73 of Camden passed away at Sycamore Medical Center on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 6:28 PM. He was born in Quincy, West Virginia on January 10, 1939 the son of Dorothy (Niehaus) and Clarence Laten Spradling. William graduated in 1957 from Hamilton Catholic High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1959. He was employed as an electrician for Fisher Body for 31 years, retiring in 1989. William was also employed by KC Robotics for 13 years.
He is survived by three sons, Aaron (Amanda) Spradling of Camden, Douglas (Brenda) Spradling of Tennessee, and Chad (Barbara) Spradling of Middletown; two stepchildren, Donna Monks of Van Buren, Indiana and Ronald Harris of Hamilton; two sisters, Jean (Sam) Viel and Mary (Maurice) Henry; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Spradling; a son, William Richard Spradling III; and a brother, Clarence Laten Spradling Jr.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 1:00 PM until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Heart and Lung Association.
|this is the man that i have known him for a few years.I havent known him long at all but all i can remember is that he was a great man and he loved his grandchildren very much.well Bill u will be missed but never forgotten and im proud to be ur daughter-n-law.may u rest now and someday we will meet once again.love and miss you|
